INTRODUCING: Toronto’s newest voice, LOR shines on emotional, dark-pop debut single, ‘Used To’

Newcomer LOR emerges as one of Toronto’s most exciting new voices today with the release of her debut single, ‘Used To’. A competent songwriter and a captivating singer blessed with a beautifully unusual tone, LOR took to music as means of catharsis, finding that a healthy, creative outlet helped her overcome and understand difficult and emotional situations.

LOR is no stranger to tough times but her music champions those who triumph over adversity and choose to let go, move on and grow from their experiences. Confident, resilient and versatile, LOR is here to make her mark on the industry, creating vulnerable music for strong, bad-ass women.

On ‘Used To’ LOR invites us into her world with a heartfelt narrative based on her own personal experience with strained relationships and toxic love cycles. ‘Used To’ is all about knowing someone is bad for you but wanting them anyway. It’s about all the broken promises, all the extra chances and all the times you forgave when you know you shouldn’t have. LOR’s bold yet vulnerable lyricism lives alongside spacious, pop production and RnB influenced melodies to create a unique and current sound that’s both personally authentic and widely relatable. A difficult balance to strike as a newbie artist but LOR executes it flawlessly, proving herself to be one to watch over the coming months.

Look out for the ‘Used To’ music video, set for release on Wednesday July 28th.
