Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
My music is driven by the notions of sacred and transcendental. Sacred is the fuel that gives us hope and brightens our existence. Sacred keeps us going. It’s not necessarily religious but it’s always existential. People will worship and sacralise their coffee in the morning, a bit of sunshine, their favourite book, a fragrance, a picture, a text etc. We need these magical landmarks to move on. I worship orchestral classical music, bassy club music AND the beauty of the unexpected. My music is nothing but a reflexion of my very own temple.
Where did the new single come from?
I went for a walk late at night in Glasgow, and I could see everybody gradually get drunk and have their senses altered. I was totally sober and I realised how easily and quickly you can get ripped off, hurt, manipulated or even murdered when you’re THAT drunk. I’ve done things I regretted when I was too drunk, lol. It takes some time to admit that soberness actually gives you power. So the new single is about that special moment when you lose control and expose yourself to danger because of alcohol, drugs, love, treason, anxiety, etc.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
There is a stunning remix of Cirrus in the pipeline!
What’s on the horizon for you?
I’m working on my first album and a part of it will be written in the Middle-East. Arabic music is my new sacred thing, it’s very generous, sensual, hyper-emotional and, also, transcendental. I am really excited about this next move.
