Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
Hey! My name is Sody, I’m 16 years old and I live in London. I’ve been into music since I can remember and I started writing songs at 10. I’m still in school so I’m constantly juggling music with work and sport. I signed to Universal for publishing last October so I go to LA quite a lot. People seem to love the British accent there (especially my Cali friends!) RANDOM FACT: I can fall asleep in 30 seconds.
Where did the new single come from?
Well, ‘Let Go’ is about freedom. It’s all about letting go of the stress and pressures that young people face. Whenever I go to a party, I feel like some people drink to let go of everything that’s troubling them and to finally be free. I wanted to write a song that everyone could relate to and play at parties whilst their letting go haha!
Is there more content in the pipeline?
100%! I hope to release a few more singles this year and possibly another EP. I’ve got a lot more songs up my sleeve 😉 I can’t wait for everyone to hear more!
What’s on the horizon for you?
I have to finish my GCSE’s first (in 3 months so not too long) and then I’ll be gigging more and possibly doing some festivals! I can’t wait to do lots of shows in the UK, Europe and the US with my band! They are incredible and SO much fun. I’m also looking forward to not only writing for myself, but maybe for others too!
