At the age of 15 she took up the guitar and began writing and singing her own music.
The new single ‘Paradise’ is a gorgeous journey told through Loeb’s beautiful melodic writing. With minimal production, a piano, organic bass and well crafted percussion – Loeb manages to convey pure emotion whilst maintaining a dream-like, serene backing. There’s no shortage of texture or dynamism in the writing, with ‘Paradise’ taking you right to the Spanish countryside; evoking images or rolling greenery under the European summer sun.
Lizzy’s musical influences are eclectic, ranging from James Taylor, Stevie Wonder and The Beatles to Ella Fitzgerald, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Mariah Carey and Sting. Her guitar influences are also diverse, including blues, jazz, and rock.
“This is that feeling when you know a moment or night is perfect and you don’t want it to stop. Then at the same time you know that things will inevitably change or complicate but you are desperate to hang onto that paradise that can only exist when all the stars align. I wanted to sing that sentiment, simply.” – Lizzy Loeb
