Rising producer Juuku turns his hand to Teflon Sega and Saint Jhn’s ‘Beretta Lake’, reworking it into a cinematic trap-infused bop. It winds between genres from future bass to trap to electronica and alt-pop. There’s no question that juuku’s sound selection is well considered, with sumptuous textures giving the remix an expansive feel.
“teflon sega has become one of my favourite artists to listen to this year, so when I got the opportunity to remix it I lost my mind. I’ve always wanted to remix one of his tracks and knew I could put my own emotional twist on it. I always try to make a world with a story in my head before I start making a track and its 3D render. This one is about two people trying to make a relationship work in multiple lifetimes and failing miserably, but enjoying the journey each time they try” – Juuku
