Chatterbox: RAJAN

Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.

My name is RAJAN. I’m an upcoming artist from Brampton, Canada. I’ve been making music since I was 16 years of age, and I am now 22.
After opening for Drake and French Montana last year I’m really pushing to establish my own identity within the industry and leave my musical imprint on as many lives as possible. I hope to help expand the musical landscape and inspire people to step outside of their comfort zones and express themselves artistically.

Where did the new single come from?

I was scrolling through Soundcloud one day and came across an instrumental called “Cocaine Fantasy”. It had been produced by Eestbound, who is also from Brampton and has production on Travis Scott’s “Antidote”. I downloaded the instrumental off of Soundcloud and make the record that same day. I had never made a pop / dance record and being able to create my first was a great experience for me. After I had completed the song I reached out to Eestbound to see if he liked it. He enjoyed it and we agreed upon releasing the record – it’s one of my favourite records I’ve ever created.

Is there more content in the pipeline?

There’s definitely more content in the works. I’ve been creating relentlessly everyday and experimenting with different sounds and genres – taking risks and allowing myself to grow as an artist.

What’s on the horizon for you?

I’m looking to move to LA hopefully by the end of this year. I also have a project in the works – there’s no title or release date yet but I’m working on it everyday. I also have a few shows coming up in the next couple of months in which I will update people on via my social media. I’m looking to establish myself within the industry this year and give my family the life they deserve.
