Brook Baili is a London songstress who has teamed up with Belarusian producer Qubitza for their new collaborative single ‘Dirty’.
Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
Im Brook Baili a singer songwriter and I live in North London, Holloway.
Where did the new single come from?
A producer called Qubitza hit me up on soundcloud all the way from Belarus and he just said he had produced a track for me. So I wrote to it, took it to the studio, recorded it and along came our track ‘Dirty’.
The song ‘Dirty’ was written about getting into a habit of saying sorry for the sake of peace or not speaking up for the sake of sparing somebody elses feelings.
Being the bigger person shouldn’t compensate your values or your worth and at the end of the day those that allow you to dim your light for their shine put themselves first so its about not feeling guilty about who you are, what you believe in and saying enough is enough!
Is there more content in the pipeline?
There’s more content from both myself and Qubitza collaboratively for sure and we have personal projects we work on in our own countries.
What’s on the horizon for you?
I have an EP on the way which I’m half way into; it’s called ‘Haunted’ and is cinematic, dark with a sexy element to it. Which is a side to me, There’s many. I’m going for a slow Trap/RnB vibe with some electronic elements. So expect some true stories, trippy visuals.
My goal is to relate to people’s desires’ with this EP.
