Hey Blair West, thanks for taking the time to talk to us today. Could you tell us something about yourself that nobody knows?
Thank you! Hmmm, that’s so hard! One fun fact: I listen to the “Hamilton” soundtrack at least once a month. 

What influences have gone into your sound recently?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was very inspired by ‘midnights.’ The playfulness and energy she brings to each song on the record makes it so fun to listen to. Aside from Taylor Swift, I actually don’t listen to many comparable artists (like singer songwriters) — I mostly take inspiration from unlikely sources, like musical theater, old-school love songs and hip hop. 

What are you currently working on?

I am working on promoting my latest release! I’m also practicing a lot and putting that 10,000 hours into my craft. 

What are your plans for the rest of the year? 

I’m excited to keep writing, performing in new settings and pushing myself to new challenges. The sky’s the limit!

What would you say is your favourite thing about being an artist? 

Being able to communicate with people through art. I am constantly pinching myself. It’s so unbelievably rewarding to know I’m the soundtrack to someone’s life, even if just for a minute.
