Loose Puppet unveils dreamy, lockdown anthem ‘Living In a World Postponed’

George Hammond, better known by his stage name Loose Puppet, is the London-based indie music maestro who’s making his mark on the scene releasing happy-go-lucky tunes inspired by his experiences of love, loss and life in general. For his debut, Loose Puppets unveils the dreamy, lockdown anthem, ‘Living In A World Postponed’, accompanied by fly-on-the-wall type music video.

Inspired by the tumultuous year and a bit that we’ve all experienced with COVID-19, national and international travel bans, lockdowns and general pandemic panic, Loose Puppets offers ‘Living In A World Postponed’ as a remedy to all our lazy, lockdown blues.

Packed full of hearty, uplifting lyrics Loose Puppets delivers a bright & bubbly, talk-sing performance reminiscent of the likes of Plan B and The Streets, resulting in a quintessentially British sounding track, emphasised greatly by the scenes of empty London streets, tube stations and tourist destinations in the backdrop of the music video. Sonically, ‘Living In A World Postponed’ is a relatively pared-back number leaning more to the alt, acoustic-rock side of life accented by 90s inspired rhythms and sprightly guitar riffs that will be sure to put a little pep in your step.

With plenty more releases in the pipeline for the coming months, get ready to hear a lot more from Loose Puppet.

“Living In A World Postponed was written in 2020 as a reflection of the year that had gone by” he explains.

“As the world looks to come back to some sense of normality, the song now symbolises the end of a short and strange era in everyone’s life”.
