West London’s resident musical maven, Asha Gold returns to drop her latest single, ‘Debut’ a light and airy pop number about falling in love for the first time (Awww).
The song, originally penned during the peak of quarantine, was actually co-written alongside producer Mitch Jones over a video call. The two collaborated on the track deciding on lyrics, production and delivery; resulting in a dreamy, R&B inspired pop track filled with simple, spacious production and Asha’s distinct voice and songwriting.
As the third release of hers so far after singles ‘Too Good’ and ‘Passenger’ her latest single sees Asha peel off yet another musical layer. ‘Debut’ offers up a more playful and experimental sound from what we’ve seen of the 19-year-old artist, a testament to Asha’s impressive range, even through a discography that’s only 3 tracks long.
‘Debut’ will act as the first song from Asha Gold’s upcoming first EP.

“It’s about falling in love for the first time, so it has this sense of innocence and sweetness throughout — navigating unfamiliar feelings, fighting those feelings off, and then eventually giving into them knowing they are genuine and not something to be scared of.” – Asha Gold
