Hey, tell us a bit about yourself
I’m a 22 year old singer/songwriter making electronic r&b/pop music. I’m half Swedish & Iranian, but I grew up in Sweden and Spain before coming to London about 5 years ago.
Where did the new single come from?
The producer, ChenBeats, was drumming for me at the time and had made this stripped back percussion based beat that I instantly loved.
It’s quite different from anything else I’ve released, it has no chords and was written in the spur of the moment, which resulted in an unusual format and progression. I wrote it about those initial stages of meeting someone new and being intoxicated with them.
You then become blind to their flaws and think that there’s nothing that you’d want to change, which usually doesn’t turn out to be the case. It’s sweet and naive but hopeful, that there might be a person who you wouldn’t want to change, and that could share your space without invading it.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
Definitely, I’m working on finishing a new EP along with quite a few collaborations.
What’s on the horizon for you?
I’m going out to LA in June and spending the year travelling around working on more music. London will be seeing a bit less of me but I’ll definitely be back for shows etc.
