Chatterbox: Odina

Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m a singer-songwriter currently based in London. I write mainly sad songs but I want to believe I’m not a sad person; I just channel all these dark emotions inside me.

Where did the new single come from?

When I wrote ‘Why’d You Make Me Cry’, I was literally crying alone in my bedroom. It was pretty intense so the words for this just came out very quickly (not that I’m into all that drama, but it just happened this way.)

All my songs are normally very personal, and this one is even more so – I feel very vulnerable sharing it, but I guess all I was trying to do is to portray how I was feeling at the precise moment of writing it, and it made me feel better and in a way move on.

Is there more content in the pipeline?

There’s gonna be a music video for this song, and I’m also working on another single that will come soon after this one hopefully.

What’s on the horizon for you?

Lots of writing and recording, and having fun experimenting with production over the next few months. I’ll also be playing a few intimate shows around London, and supporting Allman Brown in his Album launch on the 8th of March at the Camden Assembly. Also I’m really excited about playing my first festival in the summer (Primavera Sound in Barcelona)!
