Chatterbox: Amen Sioux chats stealing crisp packets, world tours and building bridges between cultures

Hey Amen Sioux thanks for taking the time to talk to us today. Could you tell us something about yourself that nobody knows?

Hey guys thank you for having me. When I was 18 I moved out my family’s house to pursue my dream of being a musician. During the first month I was so broke I couldn’t even afford to eat most days. I used to steal crisps and beers from off-licenses. It made me become mentally stronger and fearless in life. After a few months I started touring all around the world.

What influences have gone into your sound recently?

I have been listening to a lot of new music, my sound is going a little bit more electronic. But you know, you never can tell what’s gonna happen during an artistic process.

What are you currently working on?

I am currently working on my next EP and first album as we speak. I have just played my first ever live show with my solo project and I cannot wait for you to see me on stage very soon. Amen Sioux is coming to a city near you.

What are your plans for the rest of the year?

I just wanna keep making music, I have something like 500 demos on my phone. I am going to develop them and turn them into songs.

Whats your favourite part about being an artist and sharing your music with the world?

My favourite part is building bridges between different cultures and mentalities via my music. We’re all one.
