We love to shine a light on rising stars here at Purple Melon and we like to think we have a pretty good track record for spotting talent. Currently on a meteoric ascent is Vlade Kay who has collaborated with well-known names like DJ Snake, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike and has already taken to stages across the world to confidently perform for a growing fanbase.

Well, he’s got to be doing pretty well for himself to make repeated trips to the land of luxury itself – Dubai. This seemingly sci-fi metropolis is where Vlade Kay’s newest single ‘Chanel’ was born and it was inspired by the opulence of the city, as well as the various lifestyle loving people who he met there. ‘Chanel’ oozes with a smooth confidence thanks to the laidback electronic beats and the artist’s charming pop vocals. However, as the scene of a perfume-scented love interest begins to unfold, the beats step it up a notch to reflect the club’s thumping bass and racing heartbeats.

This fun and carefree single was written alongside John Defeo and Jackson Dimiglio (Shawn Mendes and Swae Lee). It’s also the first to be revealed from Vlade Kay’s upcoming Detox EP, due for release later this year.
