Today, we’re proud to premiere the music video debut from Frankie Furm and Griffin Stone for their collaborative single ‘BABY BLUE’. The pair each bring something different to the table, with Furm the producer and guitarist and Stone the singer and songwriter.
Not only do they come from different musical backgrounds, but they’re also from entirely different sides of the United States. In the video for smooth head-bopper ‘BABY BLUE’, they contrast their worlds with a split screen effect, but that often cuts away into the duo hanging around together. It’s a story of creativity and shared passion for music, but also of the modern world, in which we’re just a few computer searches or a plane ride away from friends, family, collaborators, colleagues and those yet to be found.
‘BABY BLUE’ is a super fun song, mixing indie songwriting with neo-soul strings and boppy production style.
“BABY BLUE is the head-nodder for me. Of all the songs on the new EP, it’s the one where I could just listen to that chorus loop over and over again. It also came about at a time when I started really getting into house music, so to be able to semi-successfully incorporate some of that influence into the track is really validating for me.” – Frankie Furm
“When we were first making it we just took turns getting each other out of our seats excited from ideas. The collaborative energy was really addicting.” – Griffin Stone
