RAEYA’s new single ‘Dream’ ticks all the boxes; the cinematic synths, the punchy beats, the unique pop vocals, sweet acoustic guitar. It all serves to craft this dramatic soundscape perfect for soundtracking a moment of romantic idealism. In fact, it almost seems too good to be true, like REAYA questions “was it just a dream?”
The euphoric sequence of love scenes that RAEYA paints with her distinctly articulated voice is mirrored in the high production value video trailer. Directed by Bethany Showalter, the one minute clip is full of Americana escapism like driving around the luscious countryside in a pick-up truck and RAEYA’s romantic other portrayed by the sensitive jock.
We can’t get enough of RAEYA’s floating synth-pop hooks and compelling performance.
“Dream is a romantic parallel to a larger concept – it’s a song about being led by the dreams and visions in your mind, and actually having the courage to lead a life led by the desires in your heart. We often create a world of possibility in our head/mind but don’t fully have the courage to go for them, or to believe that our visions are possible. Dream is a song about wondering if your wildest visions can become a reality if you choose to believe that those possibilities exist for you, and that you are actually made for your wildest dreams and imaginations.”
