Just in time for the longer days and warmer months, Canadian-based music artist Lexxicon comes through with a sizzling bashment banger, in the form of his exhilarating and colourful new single, ‘Work For It’. Taken from his upcoming, Bashment SZN EP, ‘Work For It’ comes with a fun lyric visualiser and serves as a taste of some of the flavours Lexxicon’s new project will include.

As an artist with irresistible swagger and cool, Jamaican-Canadian artist Lexxicon is the definition of passion and persistence. It’s almost impossible for an audience to not become consumed by the intense energy that radiates through his music and the long-lasting impression of his dynamic live performances. Hoping to bring the worlds of Bashment, Dancehall, Tropical R&B and even Grime together with his latest EP, Bashment SZN, Lexxicon turns to his diverse heritage for sonic inspiration, merging Jamaican patois lyrics with grimy London beats and American hip-hop influences to create his own unique sound.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Sean Paul, Wizkid and Afro B for his his latest project, the eclectic influences are certainly strong in Lexxicon and can be heard throughout the EP. In ‘Work For It’, punchy patois lyrics sit atop infectious dancehall beats and pounding percussion, all of which really comes together in the track’s addictive chorus which will be sure to be ringing in your ears long after the song’s finished playing.
