Chatterbox: Amy Correa Bell chats acting skills, nostalgic sounds and live performing.

Hey Amy, thanks for taking the time to talk to us today. Could you tell us something about yourself that nobody knows?

When I was 13 I Guest Starred on ER- I played a teenage girl who had a baby and was gonna give her up for adoption— but then changed my mind at the last minute. Tear-jerker! Also, I have a secret desire to one day learn how to conduct an Orchestra.

What influences have gone into your sound recently?

I’m always gonna try to throw some nostalgic sounds in all I do because the 80s/90s Classics still inspire me. Lately I’ve been vibing on some early 2000’s Nelly Furtado, C.Tangana & Kaytranada.

What are you currently working on?

Been working with My big bro and some other awesome producers on new songs for my new album. I’m really taking my time to come with a fresh sound that really shows another side of me. I’m always evolving.

What are your plans the year ahead?

My plans are to release a shit ton of music/music videos that I’ve been holding on to…..it wasn’t time before but it is now. And I want to perform live for people…lots of them! I miss the energy of connecting live and once that happens I’ll be one happy camper!

Any top tips for getting through this difficult time?

Walking an hour a day outside and lots of CBD oil is my chill out meds….but I would say to use this time as a moment to rebuild and reassess everything in your life. Spend less time on intaking social media and television and more time with your loved ones. Try doing something that brings you JOY and inspiration, whether it’s a hobby or picking up a new instrument.
