Toronto-based model turned singer-songwriter POESY unveils her latest work, the incredibly beautiful and evocative pop-rock single, ‘Diamonds’. Drenched in POESY’s powerful, classically trained vocals, ‘Diamonds’ tells the tale of a girl plagued with anxiety as she valiantly battles her inner demons in the hopes of finally putting them to rest once and for all.

The track begins with a simplistic instrumental and a gentle, steady beat that continues until POESY’s voice join the mix, adding her signature belting vocals, which won her first place in Canada’s talent contest The Launch. The lyrics to ‘Diamonds’ are highly conceptual, a perfect reflection of POESY’s dark, magical and mysterious persona.

“Diamonds is at its core, a song about experiencing a dark time and trying to drag yourself through to the other side. It’s about the pressure you put on yourself that leaves you with dark inner turmoil. I’ve dragged myself out of that countless times so I hope Diamonds can do that for someone else. I called it Diamonds because they’re a substance that is made under huge amounts of pressure, but they’re also so valuable – just like we are. So be gentle with yourself…”
