Second single in and Majestic Casuals, Mancunian glue70 has served up yet another twin track release. This latest instalment contains the new laid back summery anthem – ‘Days Go On’ coupled with previously released ‘Til You Say’. Already making and riding the ever rising waves, glue70 is continuing to surf on through the vast musical cosmos via these interesting and alternative methods of release.
Following on from ‘Dark Days’ & ‘Time Goes Slow’, a bittersweet melancholy lies at the heart of new summer ballad ‘Days Go On’, culminating in a highly-nuanced slice of futuristic chill- hop, which sums up glue70’s MO: to be the personal soundtrack you didn’t know you needed.
Infused with tightly rubberised basslines which bump gentle synth chimes skyward, earworm vocals congregate, resulting in the truest form of sonic sunshine. A track that sounds at once both original and expertly sampled, here is a modern classic in the making.
Stay tuned for his upcoming LP release – ‘2070’ which is set to propel him and his signature blend of mercurial electronica (aka “gluestep”) to new and unlimited heights.
He likens ‘Days Go On’ to that feeling of:
“When you really care for someone, you can sometimes wish there were no days where you aren’t with them.” – glue70
