LA newcomers, More Giraffes, share their debut EP ‘It Was A Joke‘ a colourful, futuristic release which defies the traditional rules of the pop genre. Contained within the EP is ‘AOP‘, a particularly notable track for More Giraffes’ unique, feel-good and new wave sound. Even all the way from the cold and drizzly boroughs of London you can feel the warmth of the LA sun captured by this synth-led track. We await patiently to see what More Giraffes brings us in the new year.
“We started More Giraffes with the intention of having fun and making bright music that colours outside the lines of traditional pop. It Was a Joke is our debut EP, which we wrote and produced ourselves in northeast Los Angeles. The title comes from a lyric in our song “Basement”, serving as a reminder to not take life too seriously and spread good vibes with our music.” – More Giraffes
