Los Angeles based singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Khai has dropped his first single of 2018, “For You.” His re-emergence on this new track is outstanding, full of soul and whirling production, this is Khai back at his best.
It’s something of a departure from his electro-R&B of old, replaced with more organic instrumentation and lo-fi aural soundscape that feels more at home amongst alternative hip-hop artists. His willingness to test the interplay between different genres has resulted in a winning combination.
