Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
Hi, we are Friends of Friends, a three-piece currently based in Leeds. Tom and I (Robbie) used to play in a band together back in Nottingham in our teens and I met Dom at Uni in Leeds. We actually only played our first show back in summer ’16 so we’re pretty new to the alternative scene, Crossroads is actually our first single.
Where did the new single come from?
Crossroads was written when we were going through some changes and facing a lot of uncertainty. We started writing together at a good time as we were all in a similar headspace and were dealing with the same kind of situations. The song came about quite naturally as a result and after throwing together a bedroom demo we took it to the studio where it became the song it is now.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
Yeah absolutely. We are releasing our debut EP, Picture House, on the 20th and have been working pretty solidly writing loads of fresh material to come later.
What’s on the horizon for you?
We have a few shows lined up this month and are looking into a tour toward the end of the year. We’ve spent a bit of time perfecting our live set so are keen to get back out.
