Chatterbox: Manuel

Hey, Tell us a bit about yourself.

My name is Manuel. I’m a rapper, singer, producer, and engineer from Orlando, Florida (now residing in Atlanta).  Since my family is from Puerto Rico, I’ve definitely been exposed to different types of music growing up. Hip Hop is the genre that caught most of my attention because of its lyricism, story telling, and word play. Writing has always come naturally to me and producing has always interested me, so I decided to pursue my passion of music!

Where did the new single come from?

I’m actually starting to release a song every Monday and calling it “ManuelMonday.” I want people to get excited every week and expect consistency and quality from my music. The song “Find My Way” is the second weekly release that I’ve done. After producing it, I freestyled the chorus and the song developed from there. It’s mostly about my struggles of dedicating my life to something and still not knowing if I will succeed or not.

Is there more content in the pipeline?

Of course! My immediate plan is to continue releasing a song every Monday for at least 6 months (if possible more).  I like that I have control over my songs and I am able to release them on my own terms. I’m releasing one a week hoping that I can gain more exposure and continue to grow. I’m also working on a second project of mine that will most likely be released in the first half of next year. But for now, “ManuelMonday” is where I am directing my short term energy.

What’s on the horizon for you?

I’d like to do more live performances in the near future. As I continue to release more music and gain exposure, I’ll have more opportunities. My fans mean a lot to me, so I’ll keep improving and working hard so I can consistently give them quality music.
