Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
Ahoy-hoy, I’m Jackson from South East London. I’ve been making music since I was about 8 years old. From learning to play guitar and bass then playing with music 2000 on playstation and onto drums and piano. I played in bands and then started experimenting with Garageband and then moved on to Logic.
Where did the new single come from?
I was scrolling through twitter and saw/heard a tune on Eton Messy by a chap called Oliver Price. I though it was amazing and retweeted it. Then we started speaking on twitter and Oliver came down from Manchester for 4 days and we made 5 tunes. I love working with him, he has an amazing ear for harmony without knowing any theory. It makes me wish I knew no music theory! It can open you up more ideas.
I went up to Manchester too and we made two more tracks. Then I met a lady called Oli Gosh at a Greco Roman party and realised we live about 10 minutes from each other so she’s been popping over to record loads of bits recently and it’s ben great working with her also.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
No way. I’m thinking I might retire now. I’ve peaked.
What’s on the horizon for you?
Actually I’ve changed my mind yeah I think I’ll make more music. I’ve got another track lined up with Armada Deep called Heartbeat. We’re just trying to get hold of the singer so she can sign the contract! Also I think I might release a more chilled out version of Never Let You Go with a more chilled poolside Ibiza vibe.
