Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m 24 years old and originally from New York City, although I’m currently based in Amsterdam. I’d characterize myself as a singer/songwriter, and the music I make tends to fall under the heading of electronic R&B, although with some significant influences from house, deep house, disco and funk.
Where did the new single come from?
With this track I tried to describe the feeling of starting to lose yourself in someone, despite your better instincts telling you not to. Even though you might not be ready for what’s to come, even if you know it won’t end well, you can’t seem to help yourself. What’s worse, you actually kinda like the feeling of it.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
This is a track off a new EP “Fault Line” that I’ve worked on with an awesome local producer, Saux. He originally sent me a few demos to choose from, but I loved all of them so much I decided to write something to all of them. The EP itself tells the story of a love affair that was never really built to last. There’s also a lovely remix from Ambassadeurs on there as well for the title track.
What’s on the horizon for you?
This new EP “Fault Line” drops on April 7th, along with limited edition vinyl copies of the record. I’m also working just wrapping up some new singles and a full length project due out in the summer and fall.
