My first encounter with NEO 10Y was his politically charged debut ‘AMERIKKKA’, but we really got into the Londoner’s sound when we heard ‘JANIS’ last year.
The new single ‘Echo Chamber’ is ambient, with enough tight melody to guide you through the sparse instrumental. Synths dance in and out, the beat is pretty brash but provides a solid foundation for NEO’s voice; layered and stacked with harmonies, the organic elements marry with the electronic production perfectly.
