Toronto girl-group BLK unveil their addictive new single, ‘FWM’

Cool, commanding and destined for global commercial success, Toronto girl-group BLK unveil their addictive new single, ‘FWM’. Filled to the brim with irresistible melodies, killer looks and confident, cool lyrics, ‘FWM’ is another hit for the girls from Bexk, Lilac X and Korahjay who are ushering in the renaissance of modern, female-led girl groups and spreading some black girl magic along the way…

Taken from their forthcoming EP, aptly named BLK Girl Magic, ‘FWM’ follows on from the trio’s debut, ‘Got It’ which saw the group catapulted to new heights, gaining over 1 million streams and even securing a remix with none other than Fatman Scoop! Hoping to emulate that same success, ‘FWM’ sees the trio adhere to their signature sound and cool-pop aesthetic but with an added 90s RnB fusion, making for a sultry new addition to their growing discography.  Released under  MADE IN SAUGA® records, the ‘FWM’ roll-out features a brand new music video, directed by MTV’s award-winning director, Aaron A.

Produced by Andrew “Pops” Papaleo and Lincoln Blaché, ‘FWM’ is a fun and boastful bop that’s just in time for the summer. Melodic, catchy and genre-bending, the track speaks to BLK’s unabashed sexuality and fearless individualism, and captures the girls calling out to their partner (and the world) to “F*** with them.”

Female-fronted with good vibes and girl-power at the helm, BLK are a welcomed breath of fresh air, combining their shared talents across performance, songwriting, production and vocals to create songs that uplift and encourage their fellow women to be confident, cool and unapologetically them.
