Tasty Manchester trio, Posh Chocolates are back with their latest pop revelation in the form of newest single ‘Dose’. Specialising in a sound that pushes and pulls through thick tides of full-blown indie all the way down to synth- led sound scapes. Picking up notable success thus far via their previous singles ‘GAUDY’ and ‘Gold Tongue’ they have garnered the backing from BBC Introducing and BBC 6 Music.
Fully loaded with a hip moving, body grooving bass, jazzy toned keys and oodles of hooky guitar lines flecked throughout, the track continues to tick off the list with a quirky, quaint lyricism, authentically sung with the most endearing of mancunian accents.
It seems Posh Chocolates continue to deliver the tasty treats and we are here greedily devouring tune after tune.
“Dose is born from contemplation about my affliction between addiction, and the conviction of a new love interest. Often I feel love can be the main offender when it comes to provoking feelings of addiction, and seeking a dose of someone to replace urges to endeavour in substance is a profound feeling. I’m always seeking ‘company’, whether it be friendship, love, or just turning to the potion. ‘Hide my shady sauce syndrome,’ states the chorus (sadly, already often misheard as ‘sausage rolls’). The question is, to whom am I picking up the phone?” – Posh Chocolates
