Julia Johnson blends elements of folk and electronic on her ethereal new single ‘Collarbone’

The unique sonic palette of ‘Collarbone’ showcases a seamless mix of voices and synths, blending around antique folk instruments. With help from acclaimed producer Sarah Belkner, the multi-faceted single stands as a synth-drenched psych-folk anthem for anyone who can’t be alone.  Johnson has decided not to play it safe with this brave new single – textured and dynamic, the single is strong both in vocals and production.

“This is my most monumental song so far. I spent part of my recent life trying to avoid loneliness, throwing my heart against the wall over and over in the process. Collarbone is about feeling f*cked up as well as defiantly ok about it. I’m only human, after all. I’ve never written a song so direct, so cruel and so forgiving of myself all at once. Plus, it’s my first song with a danceable beat!”Julia Johnson
