Having performed on Oprah Winfrey and Showtime at the Apollo, Grace Weber is no amateur. The Brooklyn-based, Grammy award-winning songwriter is currently working on her debut album. Her new single ‘More Than Friends’ was produced by The Social Experiment, the producers that brought you Chance The Rapper’s ‘Coloring Book’.
The new record straddles R&B and Pop. Marked by serene melodies, flickering keys and flecks of plucked guitar it opens up into a Norah Jones-esque chorus; laid-back but full of texture and energy, ‘More Than Friends’ is a mature piece of songwriting.

“I’m so excited to release my first single and I can’t wait until I get to share the entire project with everyone! More Than Friends is one of the first songs we wrote for the album. We added the pitched up vocal when I brought the song back to the guys [Social Experiment] in LA because we felt like there was still something we needed to express in the song. For me the “lead” vocal represents my composed self and the high pitched vocal represents what’s going on inside my head, my “id,” and we liked showing the tension between our external and internal voices that can happen when having a hard conversation.” – Grace
