Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
Growing up in San Diego, I loved to draw, dance and, above all, I loved to sing, but I was terrified to show anyone my voice. Maybe that’s why The Little Mermaid was my favorite. I’d write songs in secret, record them on garage band and never let them see the light of day. It wasn’t until I was about to graduate college with a degree in Fine Art, that the urge to sing overcame my fear. Almost immediately things started happening and I realized that music was the path I was meant to take. My 12-year-old self would be so excited if she knew she’d end up where I am now.
Where did the new single come from?
The title, Pink Cadillac, was inspired by the Hollywood billboard icon, Angelyne and her pink corvette. It’s a symbol for sheer superficial allure- abandoning our authenticity in desperation for someone’s attention and mistaking it for love.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
Yes! The next single will come out in the fall. I have a handful of very special songs in the works.
What’s on the horizon for you?
I’m currently planning the video for Pink Cadillac. Having grown up studying and practicing fine art and design, the visual elements are extremely important to me. I’m really inspired by subtle dance videos with a lot of personality.
