Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
I go by V, but most people know me as Venture. People ask me how long i’ve been writing music, and to be honest i have always wrote poems, stories, but only recently I started transforming that energy into songs. I’ve always had this connection with music and expressing myself through art. This past year I focused on introducing myself as an artist and the feedback is more then I could ask for. The feeling is like none other, I am looking forward to creating more and just emphasizing on the importance of art and music and being free in my own creative space. My music isn’t comparative to many, and the sound is very new and that’s the best part about it.
How did the new single come about?
I don’t really like to conform to one sound- one style. I reached to allow the style and feel of the song to express how I felt while writing it. I think we can all relate to the feeling of loss, This can be love, life, anything really. Its the feeling of wanting to be free of a pain that continuously resonates with us, but being incapable of escaping that feeling. Its almost addictive, it drives us crazy, and we feel so trapped it makes us feel paranoid.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
There are so many songs written, that I love. However, I feel like today is so flooded with content that you can say I choose to be greedy with my work. I strongly believe my music is worth more then a post you scroll past on instagram, or listen to on sound cloud. I want to leave a true impression on people with my work, a real genuine connection. Nothing forced. I know it will come through time, so I can only hope those who are listening now will be ready when that day comes.
What’s on the horizon for you?
I do think this year is going to be incredible. There is a certain feeling I get each day I wake up that tells me so. I have been working on songs for my EP i plan to release in the near future, I recently directed an art film that will be put out very soon, and a few small projects I’m looking forward to. If you’re reading this, just know I have exciting things coming and thank you so much for your support. It means a lot to an independent artist like me.
