Hey, could you tell us a little about yourself?
I moved to Los Angeles from Portland Oregon in 2011 to attend Music school (M.I.) for Guitar. I was always a singer songwriter but wanted to be able to play lead. After I graduated I fell out of touch with pursing my own career until recently, when I ran into my now current producer (Schneider Sienes) that heard me sing and pretty much just said “You need to release your own music”.
So, here I am releasing my music for the first time. I come from a very musical background. My Dad was the front of House Mixer for Luther Vandross for 20 years. He also mixed Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Hall and Oates etc…. So I grew up listening to the best of the best.
Unfortunately, he passed away due to cancer when I was 19 so he didn’t get to hear any of this but I know he would be proud of me for getting myself out there and going for it.
How did the new single come about?
Watch You Dance was a trio Collaboration between Sean Simpson, Schneider Sienes & I. We wrote it in a few hours and I instantly loved it. I made it the title and lead off track of the EP because I thought it represents the kind of style of music I have always wanted to make and could never figure out how to get that sound on my own.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
I’m currently working on a couple singles that I plan to release soon.
What’s on the horizon for you?
Dinner and a movie.
Bought all of it on iTunes. Great Music…. new sound
