Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
Hola! We are Bright Sparks, a boy-girl vocal duo based in sunny Southend-On-Sea in the UK. Our songs mix organic instruments with electronic beats and synths. We’ve been writing a lot with DJs this year, and just co-wrote/featured on Tiësto’s new single “On My Way”. BBC Radio 1 made it track of the week, so we’re pretty pumped about that.
Where did the new single come from?
“Supernatural” is the final song to be released from our new EP “Slow Motion”. It’s about meeting someone so perfect that they must surely be from another planet – falling for the untouchable. We’ve been making an epic video for it with an incredible Albino actor called Leo Jonah. He’s depicted as an aboriginal character who journeys to the Big City in search of his crush Queen Elizabeth. He eventually makes it to London and gets a little lap dance from the Queen, but it’s a Drag-Queen and he doesn’t quite understand the difference. It’s heartbreaking and a bit weird but we love it!
What other content is in the pipeline?
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind since featuring on the Tiësto track – a lot of DJs heard the song and have been calling us for featurings so we’re trying to fit some of those in whilst also starting work on our next EP. Time is the only enemy!
What’s on the horizon for you?
We’ve just started working on a little banger with Robin Schulz…! Always been a massive fan of his tracks so it’s a big honour to be able to work together. We’re also keen to get out on the road again soon and play some shows, let’s see where the tunes take us.
