Chatterbox: Rumours

Hey tell us a bit about yourself.

We are Rumours, an electronic pop trio based in London where we all live together. Our names are Fede, Mark & Marion and we are originally from Italy and Norway. With all of us having quite different musical backgrounds, the music is shaped by many different influences. Mark and Fede grew up together and Marion came along in recent years, so the sound has developed organically through just working on it a lot really, it’s been a few years now.

Where did the new single come from?

‘Invitations’ is about getting inspired. Life offers us so many reasons to create beautiful and heartfelt art, and that any moment or a vivid memory can all be seen as an invitation to express what we feel and the view we have of the world. It’s also about encouraging anyone who loves their art to share it and keep doing what they love.

Is there more content in the pipeline?

We have another single ready to go actually! There may or may not already be an acoustic version of it on YouTube – Don’t tell anyone.

We feel that our sound is shaping and growing a little bit stronger at every new song we write, so we are definitely excited to share this next one with you all.

What’s on the horizon for you?

We have an exiting spring and summer ahead of us, with our next headlining show in London scheduled the 12th of May at Birthdays in Dalston.

The day after that we’ll play a UK festival, The Funk and Soul Weekender in Camber Sands. We’ve got some more international festivals waiting to be confirmed and in August we’re heading to Croatia to play Dimension, which is awesome as we have been attending it ourselves and it’s one we’ve always wanted to play.
