Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.

Hello, my name is Justin and I’m 25 years old. I’ve been playing music in bands for the last 10 years – in and out of bands and Jay Pray is just one of my most recent projects. I’m sort of between places right now so I dont really know where to say I’m living because it could change in the next month haha.

Where did the new single come from?

“I’m Sorry” was written around a time when me and my girlfriend were going through some rough times. She was still living in Arizona and I was living in Philadelphia at the time. We had been in a long distance relationship for almost two years at that point and it was sort of time to make the decision if one of us was gonna move in with the other. Otherwise, it was basically over. We “broke up” for like 5 days and thats what that song is about. It was just basically that “fuck I made the wrong decision” and felt really bad about it. Ultimately we stayed together, she moved to Philadelphia with me and then we got a dog. Now we’re engaged! So it all worked out in the end 🙂

Is there more content in the pipeline?

Definitely! The record took so long to record that I had a bunch of “beats” I had been working on… I’m now in the process of getting all that together to start working on the next thing! I’m actually really stoked on the new stuff!

What’s on the horizon for you?

Shows! I can’t wait to get on stage again. It’s been almost 3 years since the last time I played a show. I’ve also been working on a cool light show for my set so its gonna be really “vibed” out! So yeah hopefully i’ll be touring soon! Recording more and maybe some collaborations!
