Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a 23-year old artist, songwriter and producer from Stockholm. I’ve studied both jazz- and popvocals and have a thing for effect pedals and synthesizers. Music and writing has been a part of me for as long as I can remember.
Where did the new single come from?
Actually, Blindfolded contains an important statement, a mantra, for me. I was in a bad place about a year ago and thought of quitting music all together. I was tired of trying to live up to peoples expectations, meeting their judgements, and the hierarchy within the music business. It felt like I was creating music for somebody else. I mean, isn’t art supposed to be at its best when your inspired by others, trying to capture different emotions or expressions, instead of competing with your fellow musicians?
Anyway, this song just came out as an angry output for my suppressed music at the time, and I hope it can strengthen other people in their struggles. Obviously I hope my music will be interpreted in many ways, this is just how it came to be. I’ve collaborated with music producer Elias Ortiz during the production of the song.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
Yes, I will release another single this spring, and then play some live gigs in Sweden of course.
What’s on the horizon for you?
I’ve been working on an album for some time now, so hopefully it will be released by the end of the summer! Otherwise I just want to keep playing, writing, producing, collaborating and experimenting with my music.
