Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
Hey, I’m VVAVES. I’m a 21 year old Canadian, and a self-taught singer/producer. I grew up in a very musical household and I’ve been making my own music since I can remember.
Could you give us some background on the new single?
“Fall Apart” is the first original single I’ve released, just on SoundCloud. I had made only demos and covers, and with “Fall Apart”, I feel it really came from the heart and said what I wanted to say, so I wanted to use what I had taught myself to make a track people could feel with me. As a relatively experimental project for and the first song I put so much energy into making, I’m overwhelmed by the positive response it has received; it’s definitely inspired and motivated me to continue.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
I’m writing every day and I can’t wait to share my new songs.
What’s on the horizon for you?
I’ve decided to remain anonymous, at least for now. I want people to focus on the music. I feel my style change with every new experience I have. I’m excited to learn more about producing and I’m experimenting constantly with sound and harmony.
