Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
Im an artist from Brampton, Ontario, a suburb just outside of Toronto.
I make music from the place of trying to find peace for myself and joy for others.
Where did the new single come from?
Well initially, I was inspired by the incredible groove Vulfpeck delivered musically, just makes you want to move but also sit still and admire the music. I wanted to continue with that making an upbeat, partly humorous, partly socially aware song which is much of what my brand is. To be taken seriously but not to be taken too seriously, to be enjoyed in large part. Also the sound of the single comes from a place of wanting to set myself apart, show that Canadian hip-hop artists are not all dark moody rap-singers (which of course we all love and has it’s place), there are a few still continuing in the craft right on the nose rap music.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
Definitely, I am working on a full length project to be released late third quarter this year. Trying to take my time and release something that will be meaningful. Place some real currency onto the full length for people to live with.
What’s on the horizon for you?
Everything thats deserved, we will see. For now, to anybody reading this, just click play on the song, and find a reason to love it.
