Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.

My Name is Phil Simmonds, Originally from london, now living in Los Angeles. I’ve spent the last 10 years since I was 17 working with various pop artists as a bass player (most notably, Jessie J for 3 years) Before working as a Musical Director for artists like Conrad Sewell and Angel Haze. I’ve also written and produced for artists around the world, with charted releases with Universal in europe. I’ve been writing my own music for years, but the time feels right, to share it with the world.

Where did the new single come from?

The single “In your Eyes” is really a song about moving on from a broken heart, and falling back in love with something that makes you who you are. For me that’s music, but it’s open to interpretation, I don’t want people to not find their own story in a song if they can. I wrote and produced the track in a morning on my own, so it came quite quickly, and something I obviously needed to say.

Is there more content in the pipeline?

So much! This single comes from my EP “Fall Into The Fourth”. Which will be released in a month or so. I have another single from the EP i’m going to drop before that. The EP was made by myself, while i’ve been in the mixing stages of my full length record, which i’ve been working on with Producer Nicolas Farmakalidis and Writer (and incredible artist) Desi Valentine. I had a week off, and wrote, produced and mixed the EP in a week and just feel it needed to come out first, So here we are.

What’s on the horizon for you?

Other than the EP and Album, I’m locking in some LA shows in April at the moment. I’m still working with other artists as a Musical Director and producer, so a lot of cool things to be involved in. But i’m really excited to start dropping some of my own music for people to check out.
