Hey, tell us a bit about yourself Pat.

I’m Pat Kiloran. I’m an indie-pop artist living in Nashville, TN. I moved to Nashville from Minneapolis, MN after bouncing around in Los Angeles and Toronto for a while. I’ve been working on this solo project for about the last year. I put out my first EP in the summer of 2016.

How did Another Lover come about?

This new single came from an idea that popped into my head while shopping in Target, of all places. I personally chose to wait until I married my wife to dive into the world of sex and intimacy. I had a lot of friends in college who questioned that choice fairly aggressively. But it was my resolution. So, the idea behind the song came out of that mindset, along with watching how modern technology and the internet has turned love and romance into an instantaneous, momentary thing.

Tindr, SnapChat, etc. all seem to get off on quick infatuation instead of something more firm and long-lasting. So, at least lyrically speaking, that is what inspired the song. Musically, it was inspired from a wide array of influences: Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Anderson .Paak, Bruno Mars, etc. I recorded it in Minneapolis, MN with my old friend Jack Vondrachek at his new studio, Tangerine.

Is there more content in the pipeline?

There is certainly more coming down the line! I am recording 3 new songs in February with my good friend and producer Brendan St. Gelais here in Nashville and plan to put out all of these songs as singles before the summer is over.

What can fans expect in the coming months?

My plan is to work as hard as I can, whether on the road or online, to connect as many people as I can to these songs and see where they can go. And if we can make something happen with them, then I’ll just go along for the ride. But whatever happens, my goal is just to be passionate about the art and make something great.
