A rare treat here for you today, some Bulgarian pop perfection from the brain of Ruth Koleva. We have the pleasure of premiering her new single ‘Tokyo’.
The production is staggered, with elements floating in and out. Synths dance around a powerful beat which provides the pulse and foundation for the track but Tokyo is really lifted by Ruth’s melody. Her vocal tone is second to none, unique enough to carry you through the song – it transports you right to her world. The melodies themselves are perfectly crafted to sit right atop the beat, never distracting from the song but never too subtle; there are definitely hooks in this one.
