Hailing from the musical haven of Liverpool, the emerging singer-songwriter Holly Lovelady has already been making waves with her refined and polished electro-pop sound. Within the scope of her personal style, Lovelady has pulled in a widespread of influences ranging from Fleetwood Mac to Kate Bush, and it’s those especially that you can hear in the seamless blends folk, pop, and electronica. This skilfully concocted approach to alt-pop is topped off with hard-hitting lyricism.

Showcasing Holly Lovelady’s unique presence and melodic prowess is her latest single ‘Sleep’, which was produced at Motor Museum Studios and mixed by Grammy award-winning engineer Cameron Craig. The dreamy atmosphere, haunting melodies, and infectious pop-infused hooks make ‘Sleep’ an intriguing and catchy track. It’s a more modern iteration of the UK artist’s sound, reminding listeners of pop staples Florence and the Machine and MARINA. Once you’ve waded into the depths of this gorgeous single, you’ll discover a touching narrative that delves into the uncertainty of falling for someone new.

With an empowering chorus and unmissable pop hooks, ‘Sleep’ marks out Holly Lovelady as one of the most exciting acts coming out of England’s North West right now.

“Sleep was both inspired by my own personal story and also an old friend’s personal journey. For myself It’s about seeing someone who you really like but you become scared or subconsciously unsure if you really want to be with them, you don’t know why you are unsure but that feeling of uncertainty is creeping in… I think that feeling is so common nowadays! And I don’t know why! But maybe if I listen to my song with more honesty I think that from a past relationship I hadn’t quite closed the door and moved on so I wasn’t able to fully move on, He was subconsciously at the back of my mind.”
