Sounds of R&B & Soul: Ame, Brianna Yancey, Hugh Klein, Moonchild, Khamari, Ulrika Berg, Odreii, Freedust

R&B and soul are two of those classic sounds that haven’t wavered over the years, instead they’ve continued to evolve and branch out into exciting new frontiers. So without further ado, let’s have a listen.

Dominican singer, songwriter, and actress Ame’s fusion of sultry R&B sounds and Latin rhythms offers a unique addition to the rapidly expanding Latin R&B scene. Her latest single, ‘Remember’, encourages listeners to recall their goals and not let anything stand in their way. The easygoing instrumental provides a small contrast to the song’s personal lyrics about getting through tough times and making sacrifices to succeed. With tracks like this, we understand why Ame understands songwriting as therapeutic, but she also writes with the hope her songs connect with those who have gone through similar experiences and it helps them with their journey and healing process.
