Chatterbox: Coll chats impressions, influences and his upcoming mixtape ‘Blue Magic 3’

Hey COLL, thanks for taking the time to talk to us today. Could you tell us something about yourself that nobody knows?

Mmm I can do great impressions of people, if anyone wants to hear.

What influences have gone into your sound recently?

Lately I’ve been influenced by a lot of different artists. The ones that stand out to me are Nas, Krept and Konan and WizKid, I can’t point one out as I like to keep listening to new music all the time.

What are you currently working on?

I’ve just finished working on my mixtape Blue Magic 3, and it should be out at the end of August so preparing all the music videos for that.

What are your plans the year ahead?

The mixtape is my main focus right now and after that I have a lot of collaborations with different artists so I will be working on that.

Some live shows are also in the works too.

Any top tips for navigating this difficult time?

I think writing a list or saying out loud everything you’re thankful for everyday or every week at least helps. Just so you don’t lose your self in the madness and remember what you have. Watching comedy helps too.
