British-American couple Jadeyn Madsen and Lou Courts make up the dynamic, LA-based pop duo that are Valencia. Since meeting at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in 2015, the couple have been consistently writing and performing songs together, ever since the band’s formation in 2018. In a relatively short space of time, Valencia have already released three successful singles, garnering over half a million streams and support from tastemakers like V magazine and Lefuturewave.
‘No Caller I.D’ is Valencia’s latest offering and it sees the couple tap Florida-born, Ohio-raised Alex Angelo for a feature. Renowned worldwide for his singing, songwriting and production skills, the three worked on the song, co-writing the lyrics together and constructing the super catchy, uber relatable song that is ‘No Caller I.D’.
All about the complicated and often embarrassing act of drunk dialling you ex, ‘No Caller ID’ presents an endearingly modern take to discussing and dealing with humiliating or emotionally confusing times in a lighthearted and welcoming manner. Piano-led, ‘No Caller ID’ is introduced by gentle key chords and Jadeyn’s soft yet sultry vocals followed by acoustic guitar strums and the voice of Lou Courts. With EDM-leaning vocal cuts and infectious basslines, the song reaffirms Valencia’s position as two of today’s most exciting voices in pop, with plenty more music in the pipelines for 2021.
