Portland’s Manatee Commune drops breathtaking new single ‘My Dearest Friend’

Manatee Commune (aka Grant Eadie), is a native of the Pacific Northwest who made his debut around three years ago. His new single ‘My Dearest Friend’ translates the stunning beauty of his natural surroundings into a swirling electronic soundscape. There’s no doubt that Eadie’s unique production style is a much needed fresh take in a crowded genre.

“Nostalgia drives a lot of my music making and this track is kind of the culmination of my dearest childhood memories. Those flashbacks of sparkly, sun soaked afternoons spent running through sprinklers in my neighbors front yard, and the whole weekends taken up by exploring my grandparents’ densely forested property with my best friend. This is one of the few tracks I’ve made that actually captures those moments and I’m pumped to share it with the world.” – Manatee Commune

“I’m excited to be back in the studio and exploring new sounds, getting messy with some new audio samples and field recordings. I’m looking to capture the emotions & feelings I want to feel all the time; sunlight, the smell of rain, dewey grass and untouched snow. Hopefully, everything will translate with the aid of some new interactive visuals, fresh instrumentation and some straight, groovy dance moments.” – Manatee Commune
