Hey, tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a 26 year old guy from Spain who makes electronic music under the name of Hykuu.
I’ve always been involved in bands and producing music since I was 17 years old and I started this new project in 2014 trying to express myself in a more creative way after a trip I made with my girlfriend around the United States. When I started this project, I was more focused on a Chillwave/Ambient sound but I’ve been developing myself to produce more of a Future Bass/Dance sound.
Where did the new single come from?
I discovered J.Lauryn through her song Coconuts and I was in love with her voice. I wrote her with a draft of Enlightened and I was looking for someone like her. She liked the song and we finished it very quickly, she is very talented. I’m sure we will work together again.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
Yes, for sure! I’m working on new tracks and in more in the way of Enlightened,I try to make fun tracks for all people.
What’s on the horizon for you?
I would like to reached more popularity worldwide and particularly in Spain. A main goal for me would be start playing more gigs in Spain, then Europe and around the world.
