Hey, tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Compulsive. I reside out in Göteborg, I’ve lived here in Sweden for seven years now. English roots. I’m a musician – I got into this at the age of thirteen and worked hard to put in the hours behind it all.
Where did the new single come from?
I wrote this at the beginning of the year in Stockholm coming back from a Hollywood trip. My best friend here, we’ll call him B for now – used to spend a lot of time riding around driving too fast listening to songs that bump right in the whip. The high-octane gangster anthems, bass-heavy ballads of dark nights and illegalities. He always used to ask me to make him a song he could blast on one of these riding sessions, so I spent a while looking for a good producer before contacting BOSSTONE.
It took a while from start to finish, but now it’s here. I wanted to add my own touch on the whole thing – I’ve always loved flexing performance-wise and always enjoyed injecting the American/English competivity into my work. The Swedish scene lacks that and needs that, so I wanted to deliver.
Is there more content in the pipeline?
Definitely. That was one of the factors behind this taking a while from start to release – making sure the content that comes after it is A1; that we’re ready to proceed and that we’re happy with the next steps we’re taking. Can’t stop a hypetrain when it’s rolling full speed ahead, homie.
What’s on the horizon for you?
Greatness. Definitely, maybe.
